Description

The device to be procured will consist of a high-performance triple quadropol mass spectrometer (MS) and a high-performance liquid chromatography device (HPLC) and must be suitable for detecting small molecules with a low concentration (< 2 500 Da) in various liquid matrices. The ionization of the target analytes will be performed by electrospray ionization (ESI) via a grounded sprayer needle. It should be possible to convert or upgrade the device to be purchased so that ionization can be carried out by means of Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization (APCI). The device should allow operation in different scan modes and should be able to change the polarity of the ionization within a measurement in a time interval of less than 30 ms and must have a high-pressure collision cell. The mass range to be covered shall be between 5-3 000 (m/z). A mass resolution of at least 0.5 Da and a mass accuracy of at least 0.1 Da in the specified mass range are absolutely necessary. The dynamic measuring range of the instrument shall be > 6 x 10^6 and the instrument shall be capable of recording up to 17 000 Da/sec in scan mode and up to 500 transitions/sec in MRM mode. the HPLC system shall have a binary pump with 2 pump channels, each connected to 2 solvent channels. The pump should be able to produce binary gradients and flow rates of 0.1-5 ml/min at up to 600 bar pressure with high flow stability by high-pressure mixing. The plant is to be equipped with a high-performance degasser and an autosampler. The autosampler should be able to carry out injections from 0 to 100 μl by means of single cycle injection, furthermore the autosampler should be able to use automatic washing functions for injection needles and valves and to enable a defined temperature control of stored samples.
