Event Details

This event is closed.

CIA's Annual Safety, Health and Environment Conference brings together the latest developments and best practice in key aspects of Responsible Care – including Regulatory matters, Policy updates, practical company best practice sharing and opportunities to discuss challenges in our sector. This year's conference has a particular focus on Management & Control of Contractors. Central to this session will be a unique insight in to one of the most high profile health and safety cases in 2019, following the fatalities caused by an explosion at the Pembroke oil refinery. Specialist health and safety lawyers at Womble Bond Dickinson, who acted in the case, will explore the lessons that can be learnt by the chemical sector with a focus upon contractor management.

The conference will also cover CIA’s new, revised Guidance on Occupied Buildings Risk Assessment – an essential aspect for all COMAH sites.

This conference is a must for safety, health and environment professionals as well as those with responsibility for hiring or managing contractor relationships. Site managers and engineers with SHE responsibilities will also find this invaluable.
