The white paper based on the Chequers agreement sets out what the UK wants, but what will the EU negotiators be happy to agree to? Previously we raised more seriously the possibility of a “no deal” and how chemical companies may be affected? Trade, regulations, skills and climate change remain the key issues facing our sector. Our first speaker of the day will be Emma Lomas from Grant Thornton UK LLP, Emma will present an update on the latest indirect tax position after the recent Brexit negotiations. Also Ian Cranshaw, Head of International Trade at CIA will examine the potential impacts on trade between UK and EU.
