1 - 4pmOur first speaker will be Benjamin Wells from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). Fiona will be speaking about how the chemicals industry can continue to work effectively with the UK government, so that we can best represent the sector’s priorities in negotiations with the EU and other trading partners. Fiona will address how businesses might want to engage over the coming months across a range of trade related policy areas, including regulation, tariff policy, rules of origin and mobility. Whilst the focus has obviously moved away from no deal planning, Fiona would be keen to briefly discuss - and hear feedback from our attendees on – preparations for no deal and the impact of an extension on these. It would be useful to understand from companies about the particular challenges they faced in preparation for a no deal and whether there are any specific questions that remain unanswered.
