Hot Topic - Simplistically sustainable? in association with RMG

Event details

This event is closed.

10am - 11am

Sustainability is ‘the catch all term’ that has long been an agenda item of FTSE 100 companies. With environmental pressures growing and the UK hosting the much-anticipated UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in November this year, the topic of ‘Sustainability, CSR and ESG’ is rightly finding its way on to the Board agenda of SMEs.

Many Executives and Senior Leadership Teams are now wondering how they can translate complex sustainable principles into simple, everyday practice.

There are clear environmental drivers behind the increase in sustainability demands and the launch of Prince Charles’s Terra Carta earlier this month underpins this need - but we should remember there is also a clear business case for operating more sustainably too.

Specialist chemicals recruiter RMG (Recruitment Management Group) has worked with several companies over the last few years who have introduced new functions into their chemical businesses to help them develop strategies and implement workable sustainable processes into their own businesses.

In this Hot Topic you will hear from a range of sustainability experts including…

Prabhat Mishra - Director of Sustainability at Nonwovenn and former Global Sustainability Director at Johnson & Johnson.

•      Kirsty Green-Mann - Kirsty is Head of Corporate Responsibility for Burges-Salmon, previously Group Head of Corporate Responsibility at Imperial Brands UK. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability and a Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.

Phil Johnson. Phil was previously Director of New Product Development at Gama Healthcare. Before that, he had senior R&D leadership roles at Alliance Boots and Procter & Gamble in USA and UK.

The event has been organised by long standing Chemicals North West member, RMG, with representation from Giles Hampson, CEO and Anita Caldwell, Principal Consultant who will share their views on how to attract the right talent from big blue chips into SMEs.

Chemicals North West Operations Manager, Ian Cranshaw will host the event which will include an opportunity for members to send questions in advance to Alex.

Free to attend for all. If anyone has any trouble booking onto the event online please email [email protected] to be booked on accordingly.
