Funding opportunity: accelerating decarbonisation through advanced nuclear technology | Chemicals Northwest
CNW News

On behalf of BEIS and the National Nuclear Laboratory, Game Changers have just published an open call for innovation focussing on exploring all uses of advanced nuclear technology to accelerate decarbonisation.  BEIS are particularly interested in receiving cross-sector funding applications.

It's a very broad funding scope which includes, but is not limited to, research projects investigating:

  • The use of nuclear technologies in chemical synthesis and production of medical isotopes, hydrogen production, direct heat for industrial or domestic use and energy storage
  • Technologies that enable the recovery and reuse of radioactive waste material for energy and non-energy use
  • Technologies that reduce the cost of advanced nuclear systems
  • Mechanisms of enabling licensing and validation of new technologies
  • Opportunities to derive additional value from advanced nuclear systems

There is more information available on the Game Changers website and we’re hosting a briefing webinar on 15th September at 1pm.
