The prestigious Chemical Industry Awards 2022 is back in person this year and, is promised to be bigger and better than ever!

As an industry that has worked throughout the pandemic, employers and staff are now keen to showcase their excellence and enjoy an evening of celebration. Plus, having had the greatest number of nominations for over a decade, the judges need to make difficult choices on who made the shortlist.

After a judging process involving over 30 sponsors, with both industry and external specialists, Steve Elliot, Chief Executive of the CIA was pleased to announce the shortlist. "Yet again another incredible show of entries this year, demonstrating the hard work achievements of the industry, whilst coping wish such unprecedented external challenges. I'm very much looking forward to meeting our entrants at our industry-leading Awards Dinner in June, where the winners will be announced. Congratulations to all on the shortlist - you are all worthy winners."

The Awards will be presented at a gala dinner on 16 June 2022 at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.

Nick Sturgeon Unsung Hero Award

This award is in memory of CIA's Nick Sturgeon, who sadly passed away in 2019. The award will be given to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the industry over a number of years. As nominees in this category are unaware they have been nominated, no shortlist has been published.
