The Chemical Industry Awards are the premier accolades for the UK chemical industry. They are designed to offer a unique opportunity to highlight and promote excellent performance at the company, site or individual level. The Awards Ceremony will take place at The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, Manchester on Thursday 15 June 2023. The event provides an ideal opportunity to entertain valued clients, colleagues and guests in this celebration of the best of the UK chemical industry.
The closing date for nominations for all awards has now been extended until 24 April 2023. All nominations should be sent electronically to Mike Lancaster by using the online nomination form. For information about individual awards, please click here. Short listed nominations will be notified by 09 May 2023 and each short listed company will receive one free invitation to attend the Awards Ceremony, sitting on the award sponsors table.
This year's awards host will be Justin Moorhouse. After supporting some of the North West’s best known comedians, including Johnny Vegas and Peter Kay, Justin became a headline act in his own right. He is perhaps most recognisable as the hapless Young Kenny in Phoenix Nights - who spent the whole of the second series with his face painted as a tiger - but he has also appeared in Coronation Street, as rival pub landlord Dean Upton, and was a winner of Celebrity Mastermind. Justin presented a Sony nominated radio show on Key 103 for more than a decade, and has performed two series of his own sitcom, Everyone Quite Likes Justin, on Radio 4. He has also appeared in Shameless and 8 Out Of 10 Cats, and the much-lauded Ken Loach film Looking For Eric. He wrote the acclaimed Radio 4 comedy drama, An Insurance Inspector Calls, and is a regular guest on The News Quiz.
