This Award is for the company or operating unit which can provide the most successful examples of innovation – turning ideas into money – in an area of its business that helps solve today’s societal challenges. Examples of challenges that judges would expect to be addressed by applicants include climate change, water conservation, environmental improvement and an ageing population. The judges will be looking for a clever idea that has been cleverly implemented for commercial success and the benefit of the UK Chemical Industry
The Award is open to any company working in or providing services to the chemical industry. Following initial judging, applicants will be notified if they have been short-listed by 09 May 2023. The winner will be announced at the Chemical Industry Awards Dinner and a representative from each short-listed company will receive an invitation to attend. Winning applicants should be willing to participate in publicity.
The innovation activity can be in any area of a business related to the chemical industry; this can include, for example: research and development, technology, or operations. Judges will assess the business benefits of the innovation, exploitation potential, novelty value, benefit to the company, and contribution towards Sustainable Development.
The judging panel will consist of the Sponsor, a CIA member of staff and an independent expert.
Entries to be made electronically, in confidence to Mike Lancaster on the Entry Form signed by a member of the company leadership team by 10 April 2022.
