The Chemical Industries Association is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the Chemical Industry 2024 awards. Designed to honour outstanding achievements at the company, site, or individual level, these awards provide a unique platform to showcase the best in the chemical sector.
The CIA has been hosting the awards for more than 25 years, reinforcing the positive values and principles that underpin our industry. This year the awards ceremony will take place at The Hilton Newcastle Gateshead Hotel, on Thursday, 20 June 2024. The event offers a prime opportunity to celebrate with clients, colleagues, and industry leaders, showcasing the innovative spirit and dedication that defines the UK chemical industry.

Entering the awards gives winners or nominees an opportunity to demonstrate the company’s commitment to innovation, enhance customer confidence in their products and service and raise the company’s profile to attract the attention of a broader audience. The awards offer 12 categories ranging from innovation to sustainability and process safety. Last year's awards witnessed an unprecedented number of entries, particularly in the Innovation and Manufacturing and Resource Efficiency categories, sponsored by GSK and SLR Consulting, respectively. The Innovation category showcased a strong focus on net zero initiatives, with notable entries in CO2 capture and utilization, as well as innovations aimed at reducing carbon footprints. These groundbreaking solutions demonstrate the industry's commitment to meeting 2050 sustainability goals and positively impacting sectors dependent on our chemistry.
