Future Forum Young ambassador

Young Ambassador Award

Each year an industry employee in the early stages of their career is crowned ‘Young Ambassador’. The Young Ambassador Award recognises an outstanding young individual, who is demonstrating communication skills and leadership associated with the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and contributing to its success.

Young Ambassadors are responsible for leading the Future Forum and Leadership Team for their ‘year in office’.

Over the next 12 months, I will be working as the Young Ambassador for the CIA which means I will be leading the Future Forum for the next year, something I am very much looking forward to. Throughout the year, I intend to work on helping the CIA to further establish the Future Forum and present its purpose to the early careerists in the industry

As a platform established to represent the views of young people in the chemical industry, I really do think it is a fantastic group to become involved in, if we can articulate what the Future Forum can offer I am sure we will see increased membership. The next challenge will be to increase engagement with our members and create more activity. We have a really great group signed up to work on the Leadership Team this year and they have lots of ideas on how to move the Future Forum forward. One thing we will definitely be doing is increasing the ability of members to share their thoughts and opinions. We will keep running surveys, but we will also set up an online forum for questions to be raised and answered by the community.

If you haven’t already, you can connect with us at our LinkedIn or Twitter pages.

We are also keen to increase membership numbers, the more members we have the better the Leadership Team can be at presenting the thoughts and opinions of the early careerists we are here to represent. If you have any colleagues or friends who you think might be interested in getting involved, please direct them to our Future Forum page for more details.

I am really looking forward to the year ahead and both I and the rest of the Leadership Team would welcome any suggestions you may have over the coming year.
