As part of our continuing portfolio development, we’re creating a new level 6 degree apprenticeship – Science Industry Process & Plant Engineer Degree Apprenticeship – a programme designed for those working in metal manufacturing, food processing, the brewing industry, oil and gas production or the chemical sector.

How would this benefit your business?

A science industry process and plant engineer apprentice will develop the knowledge to implement and develop new processes or plant and support product development – using project management skills to develop and manufacture products on time, on cost and to the right product quality. Through proactively identifying and supporting engineering solutions to challenging problems, they will be able to identify areas for business improvement and propose innovative ideas.

Key Overview

  • Delivery Model: This will be a primarily online programme, with self-directed/distance learning underpinned by 2 hour weekly live seminar sessions per module. Where there are module cross-overs in year; there will be 4 hours’ worth of online seminars per week.
  • Commencing: September 2024
  • Course Duration: 4 years + EPA
  • Course Cost: £24,000 (per apprentice)
