As we enter the summer period, we find ourselves living in more complicated times with members navigating energy costs at an alltime high, placing huge pressure on every day business, particularly our manufacturers, plus waves of strike action impacting on commuting and workplace travel.
At our last breakfast networking event, we welcomed Suez Water Treatment, Klinger, and FES Process Optimisation Ltd who all gave an overview of their services. If anyone would like more information, please do let me know. In the last couple of weeks, we have also welcomed ikm consulting into membership. You can learn a bit more about them at our next breakfast briefing.
Our magazine this quarter features a range of articles including a piece from Edmondson Shipping & Forwarding which highlights that despite challenges, with a flexible approach, it is possible to work around existing transportation constraints. We also look at issues of underinsurance, patent protection and enforcement, automated calibration in fine chemicals production, the value of the midmanager as well as our member ITAC, who have just celebrated 120 years in business. Quite an achievement! We hope you enjoy reading these and other editorials.
Finally, we have set the date for our next Annual Awards Dinner, to be held on 23rd March 2023 at Hilton Deansgate. Do make a note and make sure you save the date!

Having kept up with all the latest members news and industry developments over the year it is good to be back promoting your achievements and being part of the vibrant chemical industry once again. I know it is a particularly difficult time for some with energy costs at record highs. And yet many report still being very busy with new projects and opportunities.
