8.30am breakfast and networking

9am - presentations

Our first presenter will be Dr James Titterington, Business Development Manager (NW) for DipHex Solutions Limited. In the critical first seconds of a chemical incident, your response determines the outcome. But while chemicals have advanced, has your first aid kept up? Traditional chemical decontamination methods like water and saline rinse and dilute, but chemical aggressors don’t stop at the surface. They penetrate deeper – continuing to harm tissue long after exposure. That’s why we’re asking: Is your current chemical first aid good enough?

We will also be joined by Seona Turner – UK Head of Process Safety and Catherine Shannon – Group Head of Process Safety from PM Group. Seona and Catherine will present Pressure Relief Devices: Evaluation of PRDs for existing facilities. Older facilities don’t always have the full suite of Pressure Relief Device (PRD) dossiers and documentation packs in place which prove their safety devices are suitable for the installation they are protecting. This can cause problems for sites as they are requested by 3rd parties, such as insurance companies and the HSE, to provide such evidence. PM Group will share how they are helping chemical manufacturers ensure they have the correct dossiers and documentation packs in place, proving the suitability of their PRDs.

Further details of presenters to follow.
