Chemicals Northwest and Chemical Industries Association are preparing an update event on process safety performance in the chemical industry. This year is the 30th anniversary of the Piper Alpha disaster and this agenda will review the lessons learnt and how the incident has driven improved hazard and risk management in the process industries. The event will focus on the key features of process safety performance measurement and the sharing of good practice, taking a look at what is currently happening and what lies ahead. There have been lots of fascinating political and economic developments over recent months but now all eyes will fixed on the October EU Council meeting. Our first speaker of the day will be Paul Wilson from Grant Thornton UK LLP, Paul will present an update on the latest indirect tax position after the recent Brexit negotiations. Also Ian Cranshaw, Head of International Trade at CIA will examine the potential impacts on trade between UK and EU. Gal Maller will give a sneak preview of a Brexit ARC!
