The Regulation Amending the KKDIK prepared by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change of Turkey was published in the Official Gazette dated 23 December 2023 and numbered 32408 and entered into force.

 Here is key details of the KKDIK Registration Deadline Extension:

• The deadline for registration for substances that meet the following conditions is 31/12/2026:
– substances manufactured or imported in their own form or in a mixture or in goods in an annual amount of 1000 tonnes or more.
– substances manufactured or imported in their own form or in a mixture or in goods in an annual amount of 100 tonnes or more, and that are within the Aquatic Acute 1 and Aquatic Chronic 1 (H400, H410) hazard categories according to the Regulation on the Classification, Labelling, and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures published in the Official Gazette dated 11.12.2013 and numbered 28848 (1st Duplicate).
– substances manufactured or imported in their own form or in a mixture or in goods in an annual amount of 1 tonne or more, and that are within the Carcinogenic, Mutagenic, and Reprotoxic Category 1A and 1B hazard categories according to the Regulation on the Classification, Labelling, and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures.
• For substances manufactured or imported in their own form or in a mixture or in goods in an annual amount of 100 tonnes or more, the deadline for registration is 31/12/2028.
• For substances manufactured or imported in their own form or in a mixture or in goods in an annual amount of 1 tonne or more, the deadline for registration is 31/12/2030.

The Ministry will publish procedures and principles for studies on the joint registration process execution, including leader selection, data sharing, and cost sharing, in collaboration with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and relevant institutions and organizations.
