Brennan established Eastgate Engineering in 2007 with a vision grounded in knowledge, trust, and innovation. His drive and resilience, which were shaped in part by early personal challenges, including being born in the Bessborough Mother and Baby Home, have fuelled his determination to build a company defined by purpose, integrity, and opportunity.

Beginning his working life as an apprentice electrician, Brennan built his expertise from the ground up. From a single founder with a clear vision, Eastgate Engineering has grown into a 500‑employee organisation and a trusted specialist in complex, high‑risk infrastructure projects. Under Brennan’s leadership, the company has earned a reputation for delivering cost-certainty solutions without compromising safety, quality, or technical standards. He has embedded a strong “one team” ethos throughout the business, championing accountability, collaboration, and honest hard work as the foundations of Eastgate’s success.

The opening of the new Teesside Head Office marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in Eastgate’s story. The space has been chosen to reflect the values David has championed since day one: openness, teamwork, and continuous improvement. It brings together teams in a modern, collaborative environment that supports innovation and enables further growth as the company continues to expand its capabilities and client partnerships.

The opening lunch event brought together colleagues, clients, partners, and members of the local business community to celebrate how far Eastgate has come and to recognise the people who have contributed to its journey.
