Advice for GB based companies relying on EU authorisations on maintaining access to the GB and EU markets
If you were relying on an authorisation that is held by an EU company, you should have notified the HSE via email the following information within 60 days of the UK leaving EU REACH:
However, if ECHA did not provide its final opinion on the authorisation application submitted by an EU applicant or the Commission did not make a final decision, the GB downstream user can’t benefit from the authorisation application and needs to apply for a UK REACH authorisation. When exporting products to the EU-27/EEA/Northern Ireland, the customer will have to ensure that have a valid authorisation in place.
