Amendments to the CLP legislation are known as ATPs, or Amendments to Technical Progress. ATPs incorporate new scientific and technical information that amends CLP, as well as newly agreed harmonised classifications under the CLH process.

From 1 December 2010, the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation progressively replaced the Dangerous Substances and Dangerous Preparations Directives (DSD, DPD) which were repealed from 1 June 2015.

The test methods in accordance with REACH are set out in the Test Methods Regulation, (EC) 440/2008 and its Corrigendum. This Regulation has also been amended by the following ATPs:

The GB CLP legislation is comprised of the text of EU CLP as at the end of the implementation period (31 December 2020), plus amendments made via UK Statutory Instruments (SIs). GB CLP was aligned with EU CLP up until the 15th ATP.
