The UK has a new Government, with Andy Burnham appointed Prime Minister as Sir Keir Starmer leaves office. As the country’s key foundation industry, we wish the new Prime Minister the very best as he sets out the Government’s priorities for long‑term national and industrial stability.

From Runcorn to the Humber, from Teesside to Grangemouth, from South Wales to the Solent, reindustrialisation cannot come soon enough for chemical businesses, employees and local communities. Chemistry underpins critical national infrastructure, advanced manufacturing and the UK’s energy transition.
