Significant capital expansion at Dow’s Barry site has step changed production capability to support customer’s growth in the electric vehicle market. This makes Barry the proud flagship Silicone Elastomer site in Dow.

New technology has been brought in to support Dow’s customer’s growth in the electric vehicle market, with ongoing product development evaluating new applications in high performance car batteries, linked to more miles and capacity on electric vehicles, high voltage cable insulation and flexible LED headlighting. Production capacity has also increased for supplying components for existing automotive environmental innovations including ad blue diesel systems and high efficiency hybrid engines.
